The Few started back in 2014 when drummer Jonathan Hilton-King (JK) and bassist Steve Old decided to take their long-standing rhythm partnership to the next level. The two first met while playing for blues legend Smokin’ Benny Brown, and after years of locking in that groove together, they knew they had something worth building on. When that project wrapped up, The Few was born - they brought in a young and energetic singer, Harry Budd, whose voice and stage presence helped shape the band for the next nine years. Harry eventually moved on to chase his dream in Country music, but he left behind some incredible memories (and a few great stories!). Over the years, The Few has seen some seriously talented guitarists come and go — Mark Arnold, Chris Powell, and the irrepressible Dave West — each adding their own spark to the band’s sound. In 2022, Dan Worthington joined the crew on guitar, followed later that year by Dom Corcoran, who took over while Dan moved over to focus on other projects. Fast forward to 2024, things got a little uncertain when the band parted ways with long-time frontman Harry. But as fate would have it, Rob Madisson came in to take the mic — and The Few was back in business! Then in 2025, Dan rejoined once again to make the lineup a solid five-piece for the first time. Through all the changes, one thing’s never shifted: The Few’s love of playing big, energetic tunes that everyone knows and loves — with passion, power, and a sense of fun that keeps every show alive. Now, the band’s looking ahead, blending new digital tech with their trademark live energy to make sure every song does justice to the originals — and to the fans who keep coming back for more. The Few — still going strong, still having fun, and still loving every minute of it.
